It was a pleasure to host the Thematic Forum ‘Youth Human Rights Education’ funded by the UCD Geary Institute For Public Policy, with researchers and practitioners exploring how acknowledging diverse epistemologies and types of activism can contribute to more meaningful approaches to educating young people about and for their rights.
Thank you so much to the participants: Anne Marie Kavanagh, Edwina Mulcahy, Smiljana Frick, Guadalupe Francia, Antonio Luzón Trujillo, Rachel Shanks, Sara Nilsson Mohammadi and Amy Hanna.
Our conversations about the epistemic diversity and youth activism for Human Rights Education started almost two years ago at a meeting of the Children’s Human Rights Education (CHRE) Research Network. We are particularly thankful for the spaces the network created that made our discussions possible.
